On the road

This last Friday we all packed up and headed to Colorado to visit my family. We split the drive in half figuring it would be a little easier on Nelle and it worked out pretty nice. She slept the whole 3 and a half hours and then we got a hotel in Rawlins, WY. She had a pretty good night. Here are some pictures on the hotel bed.

Great Grandma & Grandpa Eldredge

On Sunday we went over to Papa and Mimi Eldredge's house. Great Grandma and Great Grandpa were there. Great grandma showed Paula and I how to crochet the edges of a blanket. Were both professionals now.. just kidding.. but we did pick it up pretty fast. It was a lot of fun and Nelle got to spend some time with her great grandparents.

Mimi Eldredge

Last Saturday, Paula (Mimi Eldredge) completed the Battle at Midway triathlon in Heber Valley, Utah. Of course she won her age group!

This last Friday she completed another triathlon. The Cache Valley Classic triathlon and she won in second place!

Smiles

Nelle is getting more interactive every day! She smiles all the time and she will copy your facial expressions...sometimes. She tries anyways. And last Friday she laughed for the first time. It was so exciting!

First shower

Nelle took her first shower with daddy today. She actually seemed like she kinda liked it which almost doesn't surprise us because of how much she loves the bath.

One of our baby showers

On May 18th The Eldredge side of the family threw us a baby shower and I finally have the pictures to post. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of really cool stuff. The bracelet that Nelle always has on she got at the shower from her great grandma Eldredge. I made one that matches hers! We also got a lot of cute clothes that she is slowly but surely growing into. I wanted to thank everyone for all of the great stuff and for coming. Also I wanted to thank Papa and Mimi Eldredge for having the shower at there house and for all the things they do for her and us!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day to the 4 great fathers close to me. To my wonderful Fiance' (I cant spell) who is such a great daddy to Nelle. I couldn't possibly ask for more. To my daddy, I love you so much and your such an example of what I want Jake to mean to Nelle. You have always given me everything I could have asked for, including your love and I thank you. To LLoyd, thank you for raising Jake to be such a great man, and for being such a great inspiration to me. To Lyle, you have always been there when I needed you and I thank you. And Finally Happy Fathers Day to everyone else, including Grandpa Eldredge and Grandpa Curtis!

Nelle with Nana

We went over to Nana's house today and Nelle had so much fun. She was smiling almost the whole time Nana was holding her. Nelle even got read to for the first time! Nana read her My First Book. It was really called "My First Book."

Playing with daddy on her favorite ball. She absolutely loves being bounced on the exercise ball that Papa and Mimi Eldredge gave us. It never fails, if she is crying or fussing just holding her and bouncing on this thing calms her down immediately.
