Rest in Peace

On July 20th 2008 my grandmother died. I am so grateful that my life led me to to live with her a few years ago. I never would have known her like I did. She was a wonderful, sweet, and accepting woman who will be missed by everyone who knew her.

In Rememberance

God looked around His garden,
And He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough,
And the hills are hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered "peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

We went to the zoo

On Friday we took Nelle to the zoo. We were both afraid she wouldn't notice the animals but sure enough she did. As long as they were moving she kept her eyes on them. I think the cheetah exhibit was her favorite because she was giggling and smiling at it. It was a lot a fun!

Visiting Colorado

This past week Jake, Nelle and I drove out to Colorado again to visit my family. It was a long drive and Nelle didn't really do as good as we had hoped. She only slept for a couple hours and didn't want to be in her car seat anymore. Jake drove the whole thing (gosh I love him), while I played with Nelle to keep her entertained. The visit was good and i think Nelle enjoyed herself. There were lots of smiles!Nelle and Grandma

Camping

So this past weekend Jake told me we were going camping. I told him no we absolutely were not going camping and so this past weekend we went camping with our friends Dante and Heidi. Now a little background on me...I HATE camping! The whole tent, cold, no bathrooms, no running water thing just doesn't do it for me but apparently it does for Jake. But anyways we went up around Mirror Lake on Friday and were planning on staying till Sunday but ended up coming home on Saturday Night. Friday night it got really cold, I think the temperature was down in the 30's and in the morning Nelle had a little cough so we decided it would be better if we didn't stay the other night. We went fishing and saw Provo River Falls and just kinda hung out. Nelle was really fascinated by the fire! Jake and Nelle had a good time and I guess It wasn't that bad for me either. The first night

She's weird

So we bought Nelle this ball a few weeks ago and she just loves it! It is by far her favorite toy. The pictures don't really show what she is doing very well but you can get the idea.
I think she is trying to eat it!

You cant see me

She pulled the covers up all on her own

Taking Nelle for a walk

We have figured out that Nelle gets bored if we don't take her places now. She has forced us to get out more often which I guess isn't a bad thing. So the other day we took her for a walk around Silver Lake.
