Beautiful Eyes

Some more of Papa Eldredge's talent. He always seems to capture the great expressions in her face. And look at those eyes... I wonder where she got those from! ;)

Sleepy Time

Last time we went to Dr. Jed he told us it was time. By that I mean time to put Nelle to sleep in her crib so that she would learn to sleep all the way through the night. We started this awful process last Friday. She cried for an hour Friday night and woke up a few times and cried but we just had to stick with it and leave her in there. Saturday night was a little better but still a sleepless night and by Sunday night she slept through the whole night. From 11pm to 6:30 am, so pretty much 7 and half hours. It was awesome!! Since then she is little miss sleeper. We get a full 8 hours of sleep pretty much every night! It was definitely hard the first few nights but so worth it! Were so proud of our little girl.

I love my hippo

Look, All by my self

Eating

Today we gave Nelle her first try of some real food, Rice Cereal mush. I'm not sure how much of it she actually ate but she sure did get it all over her self.

Tracy Avairy nightmare

Yesterday we decided to take Nelle to Tracy Avairy (A bird sanctuary). It wasn't the best day weather wise but it didn't look that bad. We got there and started walking around and no less than 10 minutes later it started sprinkling. We just figured that a little rain never hurt anyone and since we paid $10 to get in we were just gonna keep going. So a few minutes later it started POURING! Nelle was in her stroller in shorts so daddy gave her his shirt to put over her legs. So here we were running through this bird zoo trying to find the exit, Nelle is laughing at the rain getting soaked, Daddy and I are both dripping wet and of course we took a wrong turn that lead us to a dead end. So we stopped and pulled out the sopping wet map while it still POURING and had to back track a few minutes. Daddy pulled a sign out of the ground at this point and shielded Nelle as much as he could (we brought the sign home). Finally we found the exit and it started hailing and no sooner did we get in to the car did it stop raining and the sun came out. Typical!

Dr. Visit

A few days ago Nelle had an apt with Dr. Jed. She weighs 13.8 pounds (about the 50 percentile) and is 25 inches long (75 percentile). She had to get more shots and wasn't happy about that as you would imagine but she really didn't do that bad. We played her her favorite song; Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson as she was getting them and it calmed her down pretty quick. The rest of the day you could tell she just didn't feel very good as with the next day when she had a fever all day. But its all over now and I'm sure she doesn't remember. Dr. Jed told us its almost time to introduce food to her which is exciting but a little scary. Were just not looking forward to all of the messes.

The bird

We were at Costco a few weeks ago with Papa and Mimi Eldredge and she got really tired so she took a nap on Daddy and daddy took a short eye lid rest on the rice. I think she is trying to tell me something! This reminds me of Drew. And for those of you who don't know, Uncle Drew's was giving the bird when he was born. His first picture captured that moment.

Cuddly

Daddy's are for cuddling!

Fishy

A week or so ago we took Nelle to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was really neat but WAY to small! We saw sharks, an octopus (who was in a tiny aquarium), jellyfish and a bunch of other fish. The best part that Nelle couldn't participate in was petting stingrays. Their slimy little creatures. Nelle was completely fascinated though. She really liked the jellyfish and any other fish that were moving.Nelle trying to touch the jelly's
"I didn't do it"

Swimming again

She is such a water baby!

I can stand

Nelle has gotten so strong and its really neat watch her learn new things. She started standing a little while ago and just loves it. And of course you have to balance her. Sometimes she just will not sit down. You can try and try to get her to sit down but she just locks her knees and refuses. Here she is standing.

Precious

Papa Eldredge took this picture today also. The black and white one is my new favorite!

Uncle Drew

Papa Eldredge watched Nelle today while I went to the dentist :( and took this great picture of Uncle Drew and Nelle! So cute!!

4 months old

Nelle is 4 months old as of today. Jake and I made a video of her life from birth to now and we watched it yesterday. Its just amazing to see how much she has grown. I cant believe she was ever that small! Now she can stand as long as you balance her, she can almost sit on her own, she can hold her head all on her own and she makes so many noises. She is just so cute we cant stand it!

So flexable
